Filament dry box basement setup issues

I'm having some trouble with my filament dry box setup in my basement. It's a bit damp down there, and even though I'm using desiccant and storing my nylon filament in sealed bags, it still needs to be dried before I can use it. Do you think adding a small exhaust fan to the dry box would assist to lower the humidity levels inside?

To make your dry box even better, ensure it's sealed tight by checking the gaskets and adding weatherstripping if needed. For extra protection, pop your spools into vacuum storage bags or mylar bags with desiccant.
 
To dry filament in a box with heat, vent out moisture with a small, quiet fan that can run all the time. A humidity sensor or timer would be ideal. If a fan isn't an option, try vent holes near the box's top for some airflow.
 
A small exhaust fan could help circulate air and reduce humidity, but make sure it doesn't blow moist air back in

yes, but only if you add a heater! hot air is necessary to pull moisture out of the nylon. The fan then vents the hot, humid air out of the box
also, your sealed bags are for storage, not drying. use a food dehydrator or a dedicated filament dryer to hit the ∼70°C Nylon drying temp for 6−12 hours first
