resin sticks to the tray

I’m struggling with Elegoo Maroon resin on my Anycubic Mono 4K, and it’s sticking to the FEP film like crazy
while the base layers are fine, the hollow layers pull apart because the suction is so strong. it stuck so hard I had to replace the film entirely
My current settings are 40s/7s, but Elegoo suggests a much higher 75s/15s.

I'm not sure what happened, does a longer exposure time actually make it stick less to the tray, or will that just make it worse?
also, is it true that a light coat of PTFE lube on the FEP can help with release, or am I just dealing with a scratched up film that needs more frequent swaps?
 
PTFE on FEP is a mixed bag. Some people swear by it, but it can also mask issues and create contamination problems if overdone. I would treat it as a last resort after you confirm film condition, leveling, and hollow part drainage.
 
you know, increasing your exposure time can sometimes help, but not for the reason you think. if your layers are too soft (undercured), they behave like wet noodles and tear easily. strengthening the layers with a longer exposure (try 10-12s for the Mono 4K) makes them rigid enough to snap off the FEP cleanly

the suction is likely the real killer here, not just the resin type. make sure you’re adding vent holes as close to the build plate as possible!
without those holes, you're basically trying to pull a plunger off the FEP every single layer. No amount of exposure tweaking will fix that physics problem
 
Longer exposure usually makes resin cure harder, so it can make release tougher, not easier. If you are sticking to the FEP, I would look at suction and lift before chasing higher times. Add or widen vent holes on the hollow, slow your lift speed, increase lift distance a bit, and make sure the print has enough supports around the first hollow transition.
