I've been using a Sovol SV03 with a silent board upgrade for about 5 months. It's all good, everything was smooth until last weekend when the screen started freezing mid-print. I thought it was a firmware glitch, reflashed it, but no luck. Then I noticed the fan wasn't kicking on at all, even when temps climbed. Swapped back to the stock board and everything works fine again. No burn marks or damage on the silent board.

Anyone else had the same issue? Wondering if it's a power issue or something with the board itself.

I had the same problem with my SV03 after I added a quiet board last year. My screen froze during prints, and the fan didn't turn on even when it got hot. I checked all the wires and found one was a little loose near the power supply. I pushed it in better and added a small ring to the screen cable to help with noise. After that, it worked fine again. Try doing that first.

Sounds like the silent board might be drawing more power than the stock setup can handle, especially if the fan isn't running. Could also be a firmware mismatch. If it works fine on the stock board, you should take a look at the wiring and voltage ratings before trying the silent board again
