Anyone using slicer tweaks to handle cold-weather curling?

Has anyone messed with adaptive layers to help stop curling? I’ve been trying it on some ABS and PETG parts, and while it looks smoother overall, I’m still getting slight lift on the edges during longer prints. It’s been chilly at night here in California, and I think the temperature drops are messing with the layer bonding a bit. I’m wondering if adaptive layers can actually help with that or if I’m overthinking it. Maybe I should be focusing more on enclosure temps and less on slicer tricks. Curious what other people are doing to keep their 3D prints flat this time of year.
 
that cooler air definitely sneaks up on ABS and PETG around this time of year. Adaptive layers can smooth things out visually, but they don’t always help with warping since it’s more about ambient and surface temps. Have you checked if your enclosure temp drops during longer prints? Even a few degrees can make edges start lifting.
 
I’ve tried the same thing with PETG. Looked smoother, still curled on the corners. What actually made a difference was bumping my bed temp a few degrees and turning off part cooling for the first 10–15 layers. Adaptive layers make prints pretty, but they don’t stop cold air from stealing heat off the edges.
 
I’ve tried adaptive layers on PETG and it didn’t really stop the corners from lifting. What actually helped was bumping the bed temp up a couple degrees and slowing the first few layers. Honestly if the room temp swings a lot, the slicer can only do so much. Keeping the enclosure steady is the real game.
