Thing is I am having a hard time telling the difference between two of the PEI build plates on the Creality website. They have the Ender-3/Ender-5 Frosted Surface kit and the Black PEI Magnetic Flexible Steel Plate. Besides the price and the color, are there any other differences between them? I am wondering if one works better than the other. Please share your experience using them. Thanks in advance.

The biggest difference is the surface texture, and that's a huge deal. The frosted one is textured, which gives your prints a nice matte finish on the bottom and helps with adhesion, especially for PLA.
The black one is smooth, so your prints will have a shiny, glass like bottom. I've found that the textured one is more forgiving if your bed isn't perfectly leveled, as the texture helps hide small inconsistencies

The frosted plate grips harder and gives a rougher bottom finish but it can be quite harder to remove prints. The black magnetic PEI plate is easier for part removal thanks to flexing, but adhesion can fade over time if the base isn’t flat. I’d go with the magnetic one for everyday use, it’s just more convenient.
