Not really sure how I ended up here.... I was a long time member of The Rocketry Forum and somehow got an invite here. I've been watching from afar and decided today was the day I check it out. I've been 3D printing for about 5 years now.... started with a crapastic Anet A6, then upgraded to the venerable Ender3 V2. I did many upgrades to that machine.... BL Touch, Direct Drive to name a few. I still use that printer for small jobs. Now I am printing on a K1 Max that I love. I also print in SLA, I use a few Saturns and a large format Anycubic M3 Max for big jobs. I am an avid modeler. Instead of going to the hobby shop to get my next kit, I print it at home. I am currently working on a 200th scale Space Battleship Yamato (Star Blazers Argo) with plans to print a 350th scale USS Reliant.

Glad you made your way over here. Welcome to the 3D Printing Community! Five years of printing plus both K1 Max and Saturn experience adds a lot to the kind of projects you are taking on. Printing your own kits opens up a whole different world for modeling. How are you handling the big parts on the M3 Max for that Reliant build?

Good to have you here. With that many machines, you’re already ahead of half of us trying to keep one printer behaving. The Yamato and Reliant projects sound awesome!

That is a serious fleet. For big prints like the hull, what has been your biggest headache so far, warping, seam alignment, or surface finish. I always get humbled when a “clean” model turns into a lot of post work
