Hey Everyone- With prices of 3D printers and engravers coming down- And having just retired from "work" (for now)- I am looking at some ideas for a basic 3D printer and a 3D engrager (or Laser Engraver)?? - Not sure what they are called-

I am planning on doing more STEM work- and want to start playing with new toys- Besides- can see the advantage of 3D Printing with my model rockets :^)

Hi Allan, I'm a bit late to the party with this reply, but if you are still looking, my pick is the Bambu Labs H2D which is a 2-head 3d printer, laser cutter/engraver and vinyl cutter all-in-one. I can't speak directly about it yet, mine is still in transit, but the reviews I have seen of it all seem good so I have put my money where my mouth it.
The only "problem" that I have seen spoken about is that the software is closed-source. But as I have my printers to make things with, not to "experiment" with,, I don't find that a problem. I want to make things, not "play" with the printer & software.
The only other thing I would say is, if you want a printer to reliably get on & make stuff with, DON'T get a Prusa XL, at least until they actually start to support it a bit. At least half of the prints I send to it fail for various reasons, almost all of them traced back to half-finished software.
Hope this helps, Ken J.
