Inherited printer need hotend help

Just inherited a Voxelab Aries and trying to get it printing again. The hotend's shot, and I'm struggling to find a compatible replacement. Thinking of adapting with a shorter thermistor and heater cartridge, but the wire length is super tight. Any tips on sourcing parts or making it fit?
 
Get a V6 style hotend since they're pretty close in fit. If the wires are tight, silicone sleeved extension leads will help and make life way easier, also holds up to the temps. Heat shrink all your connections and you won't have to worry about weak spots later
 
that’s a legit struggle. Replacing the hotend on a Voxelab Aries is possible, but wire length and fitting can be a pain. What I’d try first is finding a compatible Aries / Aquila hotend kit (swap-in style) so you don’t have to fudge too much on thermistor or heater wire routing. The fewer mods, the less headache.

Don't bother trying to adapt individual thermistors and cartridge! The wire length will make it a fire hazard or at least a nightmare for cable management. I agree that it's best to look for the full pre-wired hotend assembly listed specifically for the Voxelab Aries or Aquila C8 or Polaris. But if you absolutely must use a generic, longer-cable version, you'll need to splice and extend the heater and thermistor wires to safely reach the board. You have to use proper soldering and ensure the connectors can handle the current for the heater cartridge.
