My first layers fell apart right when I started my Christmas rush

I was trying to knock out some last-minute Christmas prints today and my first layers just started acting weird out of nowhere. Yesterday things were sticking perfectly. Today it feels like the printer woke up in a mood. One corner lifts a little. The lines look a bit squished in some spots and a little loose in others. Nothing dramatic but enough to ruin anything that needs a clean base.

I already checked the nozzle. Cleaned the bed. Re-leveled everything even though it should not have shifted. Filament is the same spool as yesterday and the temps are unchanged. The only thing that changed is the December weather and the fact that I am racing the calendar.

Is anyone else getting odd first-layer behavior this week? I want to know if this is just holiday stress making me imagine things or if December actually affects how temperamental the printer gets.

Holiday rush plus winter weather is a bad combo. I swear my printer senses deadlines. Even a tiny draft or colder bed at startup can cause that uneven squish you’re describing. I started letting the bed heat soak longer before printing and it helped.
