soldering small 3d printed items

I want to add some small details to the items I've printed, is it a good idea to solder the small item using solder iron? Anyone here has tried tht, could this work?

I haven't tried it myself, but I've heard some people use a soldering iron to melt and bond prints together. Not sure how well it holds, though, might depend on the material. Maybe super glue or a 3D pen would be easier? I'm looking forward to hearing from others

yes you definitely can do it. just make sure your hands are very steady if you want to make it perfect. otherwise you might ruin the entire thing.

Hi, I'm trying to check if you haven't tried yet. I can recommend a woodburning tip or specifically a precision soldering iron. And if you're using ABS, you can use acetone with it for chemical welding too

As someone said- your hands have to be REALLY steady- also your soldering iron should be an adjustable temp one, use the min temp necessary. So easy to ruin everything with too much heat- I have done it and now prefer a 3D pen or glue. do a lot of practice on some scrap if you insist on trying it.
