The next 3d printing pro

I would think just getting a printer would be the best thing to do. I also think getting one will answer all your concerns.

There are a lot of YouTube videos that explain how to use a 3d printer and how it works. Just type "3D printer" into the search box, and it will display all the videos related to 3D printing. They help me out a lot.

The present printers on the market work quite well right out of the box.

I assume from your meme (photo) that you are into model rocketry. And, I further assume you are intending to printing model rocket parts. Therefore, you have two issues to consider. First, there is the design work. You will have to develop a the ability to envision the required part. Then you will need to become proficient with design software such a Autocad (excruciatingly expensive), SolidWorks (excruciatingly expensive), Turbocad (ordinarily expensive), FreeCAD (free), or Tinkercad (free). I suggest you start with learning to design first. Designing does not require the purchase of a 3-D Printer.

Second, there is the actual printing with your newly purchased printer. In this instance, Eric is spot on. A picture is worth a thousand words. A video is worth a million.

Best of luck. Keep in touch.

Yes, I am not only into model rocketry but also high-power rocketry. My avatar is a pic of one of my high-power rockets that soared over 50,000 feet, and the burnout speed was very close to Mach 2

As for my designs, I use Alibre to design the parts and the AnyCubic Slicer New. I print my high-power rocket parts with carbon fiber filament because the parts have to be able to handle 10g acceleration, along with the extreme stress during flight. I also print electronic closures for my other electronic projects (using DesignSpark to draw the schematic and PCB artwork).

I started my 3D printing over 10 years ago with a Creality CR10. Then a Creality CR10 V3. Then, Creality Ender 3 Max Neo. Now I have an AnyCubic Kobar 3 Max. As a side note, this new printer puts Creality to shame, and I did not know 3D printing could be so easy. Here is a pic of a part of the PCB holder; the second pic shows how it is inserted into the enclosure. The last pic is a CAD screenshot of the enclosure.

Six Shooter: Your post gives me the impression that I insulted you. So I wish to apologize for my bad wording in my past post.

Let's just chalk it up to getting to know each other. :geek::geek::geek:

If I may be so bold as to ask, what is your 3D printing experience?

Actually, I was responding to rocketiering man's post rather than yours. Perhaps it is me that does not understand how the threads work in an online forum.

I have experience with commercial development of consumer products. My ability to design exceeds my experience with actual printing. I contract printing at this time but will have have to purchase a Bambu X1C with AMS + Pro. I also will have to pick up a Luzlbot TAZ 8 due to the slightly larger build plate print area as one component of a product has an 10.75 inch Y axis.
